Details
John is pursuing Corinna - she's a wheelchair-user and employs a personal assistant - what happens to passion and spontaneity if you need someone else to take you to your date, and at home your PA is a built-in gooseberry? With poetic words and moving bodies, the show is a questioning exploration of the ups and downs of sex and love. During rehearsals the company created this short piece by cutting and arranging the Jacobean and Restoration poetry to make a script for three voices. The words might be 350 years old, but the pain and pitfalls they reveal are contemporary. This new movement theatre piece by Freathy Tippett teeters on the brink of romantic and sexual disaster.
