Sometime, not too far in to the future, a nation gathers to watch a natural phenomenon: the moon passing in front of the sun. But what if a once in a lifetime spectacle becomes an earth-shattering event? As the world is plunged into perpetual shadow, we follow a mass of individual lives as they weave and rub together. The Abandoned is their story. The story of what happened following the day the earth stood still.
