Norman - Lemieux.Pilon 4D Art archiveScottish-born Canadian filmmaker Norman McLaren (1914-87) was one of the most inventive abstract animators of the 20th century. Now a mesmerising new show from mixed media masters Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon (aka 4D lenieux.pilon Art) brings the genius of Norman McLaren to life in a magical fusion of state-of-the-art virtual projection and live theatre. In an improbable act of theatrical alchemy, dancer/choreographer Peter Trosztmer literally inhabits McLaren's cinematic universe. He dances, weaves, converses and interacts with the animator’s pulsing images and leaping figures, set loose in a riotous ballet of line, light and movement. Witness a beguiling miracle of theatre as a creative legend is reborn in this witty, playful and impossibly inventive one-man tour de force.
