Where do we come from and what makes us who we are? Is our destiny written in the stars or stamped in a passport? Born on the very first day of a new nation, she grew up surrounded by tigers in the sunderbans and ended up in keeping chickens in the bath in a Glasgow housing estate. In this brand new solo show, Saikat Ahamed traces the journey of his mother from Bangladesh to the UK and the journey of his motherland through bloodshed, trains, planes and a million bicycles. Saikat is a Bristol-based actor seen last year in Bristol Old Vic's production of Treasure Island as Ben Gunn.
