Details
"If I was a moon, I'd tug at the sea, to draw the land piece by piece closer to me..." A strange place where once welcoming people are now barricading themselves. Bizarre politicians arguing about slogans. Paper boats, of all sizes and colours. Who are the real invaders? Using a fragmented narrative, physical theatre, songs and direct testimonies,
Tugging At The Sea asks audiences to recognise the absurdity of the propaganda against asylum seekers. Thanks to a collaboration with visual artist Bern O'Donoghue, the stage will be covered in paper boats, as a celebration of shared humanity. Performed by:: participants in LegalAliens Theatre's free classes for migrants and refugees
