Sir Henry Irving arrives on stage dressed for the wrong play. An occurrence that is 50 years on the stage has never happened before. Fortunately there is a perfectly good reason: he has recently died. Set against the backdrop of his most famous role, Mathias in The Bells, Irving faces his final judgement. It is not quite what he expected.
