The Happy Cats were founded in Spring 2001 by ex-Lindisfarne singer/multi-instrumentalist Marty Craggs who plays saxophone, accordion, harmonica, and sings lead vocals in the band. As for the music - take a drop of the Irish, a shot of Cajun, a little country, a hot spoonful of salsa, a twist of tamla - shake it all up with thirty years of rock 'n' roll experience, throw in a dash of three part harmony, garnish with lashings of good humour, and you have The Happy Cats.
