Stuck in Davey Jones locker three sailors await the ship that will move them on. They fight, laugh and cry but their shared fate propels them towards the same goal: escape! From the scraps of debris around them they build a raft, a cave, a forest and an entire ocean. Drifters is a beautiful and comic non-verbal piece about the relationships we create with our fellow travellers. Combining physicality, puppetry and object animation Drifters explores the excitement of imagination. Brown paper morphs into creatures, giant plastic bubbles dance a duet and people wade through an ocean of light.
