A paper maker risks an uncertain journey to carry a book across high seas. Centuries later the waves of her arrival are still being felt and conflicting interpretations of The Book call a diplomat back home. Time passes and we find a young woman living within the safe constraints of The One Book but haunted by visions of burned paper, dust and lost words... The Book is the new play by Yorkshire based theatre company Flying Cloud. With Flying Cloud's signature style of new writing, movement, live music and projections, The Book invites you on an intrepid journey of dreams, identity and freedom. Running time: approx. 90mins with no interval. This show contains light projections.
