Details
The death in January 2001 of Keith Latham, on the day before his forty-seventh birthday, robbed the world of a singer of great talent, who was on the verge of a major international career. Keith Latham made his debut with Opera North in 1985, as the Count di Luna in Il trovatore, and made his final appearance with the Company in Schumann's Genoveva last Autumn. In between he gave many outstanding performances for the Company, including Germont in La traviata, Scarpia in Tosca, Posa in Don Carlos Wolfram in Tannhauser, Barnaba in La Gioconda and the titles roles in Macbeth and Rigoletto. All proceeds from this concert will be donated to an Education Fund for Joanne Latham, Keith's daughter.
