A fascinating series featuring leading Hollywood and showbusiness stars, as they return to their old training-ground - the legendary Actor's Studio - for in-depth, revealing interviews in front of an audience of today's students, tomorrow's stars. Sean Penn became known as a member of Hollywood's famous 'brat pack' - consolidating his early theatre work making films like Fast Times at Ridgemont High. He soon cast off his lightweight reputation however, with a blistering performance opposite Al Pacino in Carlito's Way. Finally, Penn won an Oscar for his role as a prisoner on Death Row in Dead Man Walking. 1999 saw Penn star in Terence Malik's comeback film The Thin Red Line, which will be followed by the hot tip for success, Hurlyburly. Here Penn explains why he is so disillusioned with Hollywood that he has announced his retirement several times..
