1940, legendary boxing venue Blackfriars Ring is destroyed in the blitz. Having ?forgotten' to renew her insurance, boxing promoter Bella Burge has lost everything. Sifting through the ruins she remembers and replays moments of her extraordinary life. From being the confidante of the queen of music hall, Marie Lloyd, to becoming the world's first female boxing promoter, Bella emerges from historical obscurity with live music, song, dance and film to set the record straight.
