The Grandfathers follows the story of a group of young people who have found themselves in the middle of a war. They have 547 days of service to complete; whether they like it or not. We watch them desperately try to find their place and to be accepted, forming a community and becoming a family. Across the world, young people are legally bound to serve in their nation's armed forces. This provocative 'in yer face' play looks at the plight of teenage soldiers caught in the military machine..
