The Oresteia saga continues. Orestes, the outcast son of the dead king Agamemnon, returns to Mycenae ten years after the murder of his father. When he and his banished sister, the frustrated and damaged Electra, are reunited - they are tied together in their pressing need to avenge their father's death. But how do you kill your father's killer, when it's your mother. Also known as the Choephoroi, the play is the second in Aeschylus' infamous trilogy and in the hands of Action To The Word is dragged into 1950s. With an absolutely original adaptation the play follows the highly successful Part 1 - Agamemnon, which had a sell-out run in October 2010. Set in the amazing St Giles in The Fields Church, Tottenham Court Road and it’s surrounding ground, the production is site-specific and in promenade, taking the audience along with the action. Action To The Word's Choephori is huge scale for London's Fringe including three different sites and over a hundred performers
