Details
Mother Courage and her Children is an epic anti-war play set against the European Thirty Year War. For Mother Courage, war is strictly business - a chance to trade in boots and brandy. Relentlessly she drags her children across the battlefields of Europe, determined that she can profit from war while protecting her family from the bloodshed that surrounds them. Inter-cut with songs, Brecht's masterpiece provides a mirror in which to view our own times. This production features music and singing composed by the company.
