Details

Part of the BBC Proms. Garsington Opera makes its Proms debut with Britten's most successful operatic export after Peter Grimes. In his night-scented adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Britten leads his audience into a dream world, unravelling the nature of human interaction and love as he goes. Expect a force field of enchantment to fill the Royal Albert Hall in this semi-staged performance from one of Britain's most distinguished opera companies. There will be an interval.
