Details

The Little Sweep comes from Britten's famous entertainment Let's Make an Opera, featuring young singers, which was composed in 1949, and first performed at the Jubilee Hall, Aldeburgh that same year. A classic Dickensian tale of cruelty, ingenuity and hope, it features some of Britten's most charming music.
