Fathers and Sons archiveBrimming with destructive revolutionary zeal, the young Nihilist Bazarov wants to 'smash people' to remake Russia. He dismisses anything that he considers to be useless, such as beauty, art and love. But what happens when life and fate conspire to frustrate Bazarov's politics? Explores the conflict between two generations of Russians: the class-ridden old school and the rising Nihilist revolutionaries who want to create anew.
