Details
Born the sixth of ten children in the Trinidadian village of Basse Terre Moruga, Learie McNicolls became known for his dark, edgy streetwise dance fuelled by psychological and emotional demons. Armour - is the result of McNicolls own healing process; the coming to terms with childhood sexual abuse and violence that marks a watershed in the dancer's life. My name is digger and the devil come get us all for tonight I dance at Lucifer's ball. Fear does not have a shoe size. Beneath my glamour, Beneath my armour, Beneath the splendour of terror comes the low rider Cain on the grey lane My name is pain I came to complain.
