In October 1941, the Czech town of Terezin was turned into a ghetto for Jews and renamed Theresienstadt by the occupying Nazi forces. Welcome to Terezin. But what is Terezin? A sanctuary where Jewish artists were detained for their own protection during the Second World War? Or another concentration camp? Come and see for yourself, as you join the Danish Red Cross inspector on a tour of this little fortress. This powerful play with a strong cabaret-style - specially commissioned for the Yvonne Arnaud Youth Theatre: Act One - features some of the actual songs that were created and performed in Terezin.
