What would you do if someone you loved sat down with you one night and calmly told you they were going to end their life before morning? This is Thelma's dilemma. Her daughter, Jessie is a middle-aged epileptic unable to hold a job, with a drug-addicted son on the wrong side of the law, and a failed marriage, Jessie can find no reason to go on living. It is the telling of a mother's worst nightmare. It is the telling of a woman's stark journey for self-determination.
