Details
Seaside hotel proprietor John Twohig's desire to elevate his small village by producing a season of high minded drama is met with resistance. The village audience is unimpressed by the overly 'enthusiastic' actors and 'dull' drama played out before them. Robinson's enduring and popular comedy is a satire on small town provincialism and high art pretensions.
