Savage Children: Mirad, Boy From Bosnia archive'Refugees don't exist. Only blown away people exist, People blown by the wind all over the world.' Set in the Bosnian civil war, this play tells the story of a 13 year old boy's survival despite the loss of his parents, one dead, the other missing. Mirad is a unique play in its searing portrayal of the impact of war on children. Earthy and natural, written in everyday language, and featuring people who are anything but heroes, Mirad manages to be funny, tragic and hopeful all at once.
