Details

About to launch himself off Albert Bridge one foggy night, hapless Henry Bell, depressed at being ousted from his firm by 'rationalisation', is distracted from taking the plunge by the cries of Karen, another would-be suicide stuck on the bridge below. He rescues her, and after hearing her tale of abandonment by her married lover, agrees that Revenge is Sweeter Than Suicide.
