Bahar - A Family Variety Show Celebrating South Asian Communities archiveA vibrant evening celebrating the budding talent to be found within our communities. The first part of the evening showcases SAA-UK's youth musicians and dancers, delivering Classical Hindustani music and bharatanatyam dance performances. The second half features vocalist Ghulam Shabir, from the Patiala Gharana in Lahore, Pakistan, and son of the renowned vocalist and composer Ustad Hussain Baksh. He is joined by gifted tabla player, Shahbaz Hussain. The two will present an entertaining array of geets (popular/light classical songs), ghazals and kafi (Sufi devotional songs).
