Three extraordinary women are drawn together to help another lady in her hour of need in this compelling, funny and moving play. The Sistren features three extraordinary players in the fight for women's rights - Mary Wollstonecraft, a founder of modern feminism; Claudia Jones, founder of the first Black British weekly newspaper, and mother of the Nottinghill Carnival; and Emma Lloyd Sproson, suffragette, suffragist and Wolverhampton's first female councillor.
