Thirty-somethings Karen and Bronnie drink, joke and shortcut their way through life together in the small Welsh town of Tonypandy. Their greatest crises are unresolved takeaway orders and dangerously low tides in their wine glasses. They are blissfully conscience-free even at their most destructive. Forced to stay on a regular basis, their teenage niece is a routine casualty of their impulse and irresponsibility. But with one visit, things have to change. Important life lessons of love and Clearasil need to be learnt as past and future collide. It might finally be time to sober up and take life seriously.
