Five, short contemporary plays reflecting the diversity of American life. From Rosie, The Teddy Bear by Steven Bergman where an abandoned teddy bear recounts her life with Little Girl, to The Rental by Mark Harvey Levine when Valerie rents a boyfriend for singleton Sonja on her thirtieth birthday and The Greening of Bridget Kelly by Peter Snoad where Bridget explains the environmental benefits of killing her father to the local priest. These emergent US playwrights take us on a rollercoaster of emotions from love, loss and the attempt to make the world a better place to live. Fresh Ideas is a season of new work at the New Wimbledon Studio showcasing the best of new writers, directors and theatre companies. Each week from February to May we will present a brand new piece of theatre and after the show you will have the chance to feed back your comments directly to its creators. Fresh Ideas. now
