Stephanie is a 25-year-old single mum, ruthless in her ambition to climb the show-biz ladder on the back of her six-year-old daughter Raquel. When she calls her to attention, Raquel responds with the cardinal rule of entertainment - "Teef and Tits, Mum, Teef and Tits!" - and no amount of public slapping or secret bed-wetting will allow that rule to be broken. Timmy is a bright, nervy 18-year-old, waiting to leave an institution where he has lived for ten years. He committed a horrific crime when he was a child and he knows he won't stop paying for it for the rest of his life. How will he function in an unforgiving society when he cannot even forgive himself. These two powerful and chilling monologues raise questions acutely relevant to the way we live now - can a child ever give their consent to be judged and treated as an adult? At what point can we expect a child to take responsibility for their own actions? Running time 75 mins (no interval)
