Joel journeys westwards across the United States to be reunited with his lover. Along the way, he stumbles across a series of people grieving for lost loved ones, from an elderly couple at a Vietnam Memorial, to a Texan mother coming to terms with her daughter's suicide. A compelling and moving tale of love and loss in a mid-90s America at the height of the AIDS crisis, Road Movie combines Godfrey Hamilton's evocative writing with an astonishing central performance from Mark Pinkosh to create an affecting theatrical experience.
