Rod and Ava are sitting in their quiet room, the picture of domesticity. He has his wine, she has her English tea. He hears an ever-present music, she rests in the silence of her books. After 30 years of marriage they can almost hear each other think. Red roses should be the perfect symbol of their love, but something about these flowers has haunted Ava for years. They make her think of twisted metal, glass and fairy wings. And grief.
