Underground, in an East London jazz club four talented musicians battle it out to define themselves in the world of jazz and in the eyes of each other. Between the music, amidst the smoke, the musicians' conversations reveal the individual struggles that threaten to endanger love, talent, self-respect and even the desire to live. As the tension builds and mutual respect fades, can instinct and passion for the musical moment bridge the differences?
