To celebrate Black History Month, the inaugural event for Word of Mouth at Bristol Old Vic is Verbalized, an evening of performance by an astounding13 poets from the UK and South Africa taking to the Studio stage for the first time together. Achingly rich, inventive, mesmerizing and original, Verbalized poets have cited their influences as ranging from hip-hop to science, rap to politics, theatre to identity. Hosted by Bristol's very own Byron Vincent ("A consummate performer, achingly funny, he's the brightest new star on the block"), Verbalized also includes two other acclaimed poets from Bristol, Miles Chambers and Edson Burton.
