A Musical Play. Herr Von Cuckoo, Salt and Pepper all inhabit the kitchen dresser, coming to life each night when The Big Ones have gone to bed. One day, The Big Ones bake a Gingerbread Man, and leave him to cool on the dresser. Poor old Herr Von Cuckoo gets a 'toad' in his throat and can no longer cuckoo! Our hero, The Gingerbread Man, sets off to climb the shelves to get some honey to sooth this throat so Herr Von Cuckoo can avoid the final fate of The Dustbin. On his ascent, The Gingerbread Man faces up to The Old Bag, a lonely tea bag left behind and never used, and has to battle to get the honey. The smell of fresh baking entices Sleek The Mouse to investigate, and he tries to eat The Gingerbread Man, who has to fend him off. The commotion created on the dresser wakes The Big Ones who see the mouse, and set down poison to kill him. However, the mouse poison is sprinkled over the honey by The Big Ones - Herr Von Cuckoo does not realise and is struck down. Can The Gingerbread Man persuade The Old Bag to become a friend and use her herbal skills to cure Cuckoo? And can the dresser gang persuade the audience to help them to see off Sleek The Mouse? Only time will tell... This exciting adventure is a real treat for young people aged two to six years old, with song and music specifically written and designed for that age group. Join the Gingerbread Man on his adventurous journey in search of a better place. Our hero encounters some amusing characters on the way but not all of them are as friendly as they may appear. Finally, our champion learns that there is no place quite like home.
