Details
The uniqueness of the project lies in the equal significance given to each element of the production: audio technology, choreography and text. The story of
Almost Blue lends itself perfectly to this: the central character, Simon, is blind and suffers from synaesthesia, through which he experiences sound as colours. Alone in his room he surfs the airwaves with his audio-scanner, through which he follows the trail of a murderer with a cold, green voice. Grace is the police officer brought in to investigate the case - a case in which each of the murders appears to have been perpetrated by the previous victim. With no suspects, and a blind man - Simon - as her only witness, Grace becomes lost in a city of ghosts and doppelgangers. Her determination to identify the killer places her and her witness at the scene of one final chilling and personal act.
