How can there be a God when such terrible things happen in the world? Can a biblical scholar hang onto his faith when his own life is touched by tragedy? And can he cope as the woman he loves lays the truth before him? Chris Lee's new play is about God, love, globalisation and flower arranging. It is set in England and rural Brazil. It asks if the family dynamics of the first world are mirrored by the politics of injustice and resistance in developing countries. Above all it is a play about the beautiful human possibility of forgiveness. Part of the Operating Theatre's Writers' Block Season
