Details

Hearing his adored brother call his name from the icy death-trap of a frozen lake, Cyril McAloon makes the bleakest of decisions and his life has never been the same since. Swallow is a darkly comic tale in which Cyril, a Monaghan Protestant farmer recounts the events of the day that is just ending as the spilt blood of his wretched wife seeps into his kitchen floor.
