My son goes to work by train every morning. No, don't say no. I know that much. That's not something you forget. On 11 March 2004 a series of coordinated terrorist bombings on the commuter train system in Madrid killed 192 people and wounded a further 2,050. In a new play, Paloma Pedrero explores the emotional ramifications of these events through the eyes of five women whose lives are all linked via one missing Madrid commuter.
Ana in Love was commissioned by the Spanish Society of Authors to mark the 2005 anniversary of the Madrid Bombings, and will be performed in collaboration with Hackney Council to coincide with the 2006 anniversary of the London bombings on 7 July.
