Leo's number one rule is to leave someone before they leave you. Ever since finding out, at 11-years old, that he'd been adopted, he's been living by this rule. Now, aged 27, Leo finds himself sitting on Brighton beach trying to remember how he got there. What's more, as if in a dream, those he holds closest appear to him as memories, the girlfriend he's rejected, his adoptive father and the mother who gave him up for adoption when she was 13-years old. Leo has questions and wants answers but all he has are the pebbles in his hand.
Pebbles on the Beach is a touching, cathartic exploration of one man's journey of self discovery and those affected by the lifelong impact of adoption, bringing to focus that you are not defined by others but by yourself.
