American Snapshots - The Role of Della/New York Actor/Degas, C'est Moi/The Trio/Lives of the Great Waitresses/Patronage/Sailor's Song/Freud's House archiveA chance to see eight short plays in one sitting - some comic, some poignant - but always thought provoking, and all made in America. The first half features six short one-act plays on the theme of ?Life and Art'. These plays explore man's various relationships to the art we create, featuring stories of musicians, aspiring actors and has-beens... and a man posing as a dead impressionist painter. The second half comprises of two one-act plays on the theme of ?Death and Rebirth'. The first of these plays explores the magic of love and its juxtaposition with the mystery of death. The second explores the unique ways we sustain ourselves as a people and continue to propagate our inherited culture. American Snapshots promises to be amusing, entertaining and stimulating. No matter what your taste, there is something here for everyone. Performed by second-year Actuing students.
