Godfrey Tucker, the sea, cooking and chilli have been inseparable since he joined the Merchant Navy in Liverpool at fifteen. But when he's made redundant and put off the ship in London, Godfrey is devastated. he needs somewhere to stay, somewhere to cook and he needs a new woman in his life. Funny and poignant, A Little Pinch of Chilli shows how Godfrey comes to terms with unemployment, his age and the possibility he'll never cook on board ship again.
