Metropolis a city on the edge. Tension grows between the groups who built the city; The Suits, The Grafters and The Unseen. The arrival of The Wanderers unmasks and highlights the disintegration of the city. Other citizens are uncomfortably reminded of their own origins and are forced to ask deep-rooted question about their identity. Metropolis is about belonging. The plot explores the fear of newcomers and - of current poignancy - the fear of terrorism. Reflecting the creative power behind the production, the piece draws on diverse cultural influences.
