Recipe for a Perfect Wife archiveRecipe for a Perfect Wife peeks beneath the glossy veneer of the picture perfect world of the 1950s housewife. Every woman who knows her place wants to be the perfect wife. and what could be better than appearing on a hit television game show 'Britain's Best Housewife' which is putting housewives to the test? The women all know the rules: Never talk politics, wear trousers, speak before their husbands, or appear in the morning without being perfectly made-up, but will they crumble under the pressure? Your television hosts (husband and wife duo Betty and Bertie) are waiting to show you a jolly good time, so come on down to the studio and sing along to your favourite tunes. On each evening, there is a post-show 1950s themed party in the theatre bar, with free cake and dancing until late. And with its unique, fun and interactive script, the show specialises in group bookings and incorporating special occasions like birthday parties, hen dos and Christmas parties in to the storyline in a 'famous for 5 minutes' slot.
