Our inaugural play, "Kozalar" (Cocoons), was written by Adalet Agaoglu in 1971. Although it's a realistic play, it contains both absurd and abstract elements. In the play we meet three women who are wrapped up in their own little worlds. They only care about what affects them, preferring not to ask questions about what is happening in the world outside. Although written 40 years ago, the themes of the play are highly relevant today, covering Turkey, violence, pain, protest, crisis, unemployment and war. We selected this play because we feel it is vital to encourage people to engage with what's happening throughout the world. In Turkish with English subtitles. Recommended for ages 14+
