As part of Resonance, Opera North’s ongoing programme of artistic development, three newly commissioned short pieces explore the relationship between Words and Music, bringing together composers with poets and novelists to make new work. Emily Hall and Toby Litt muse on motherhood, Larry Goves and Matthew Welton on the existentialism of the airport lounge and Mira Calix works with Alice Oswald to find the music in poetry.
