Split Second archiveLove new writing drama? Enjoy eavesdropping on other people's conversations? In an age of iPhones, and iPods, we often listen to radio drama alone. This show is all about the shared experience of radio in an ever-increasing insular and digital age. Award-winning Devon company, Documental Theatre are inviting a live audience of up to 10 people to come together in a cosy corner of the Bike Shed Theatre bar to drink cocktails, doodle, knit, and catch each other's reactions whilst listening through headphones to this new 15-minute audio drama. Inspired by lived experience, it was produced locally with the support of Exeter City Council and recorded at the Sound Gallery in Exeter. Split Second by Cally Hayes is a gripping psychodrama about a couple's very different reactions to the results of an antenatal test. The drama unfolds with beautiful sound design by Philip Robinson of Wolf and Water. ("The rawness & vulnerability really struck a chord" - audience member).
