Details
An unmissable chance to hear one of the most influential musical works of the 20th century: Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, written for the Ballet Russes and premiered in Paris in 1913. A live performance of this work is always a viscerally thrilling experience, particularly in the hands of these astonishingly talented young performers. The evening also features a delightful rarity in the shape of Kalinnikov's melodic and colourful Symphony No. 1, heavily influenced by the music of his mentor Tchaikovsky, plus a new work by rising star composer Fintan O'Hare.
