A circling, a spiralling, a folding, collapsing, twirling, spin, spin, twirling, fall, falling, failing, failed, pick yourself up and start all over again until... that one moment. Two women and the echoes of an event which defines who they are. Except each woman has only half of the information. I draw a picture. Me. Me with a line drawn down me, right down my face down my nose, down my middle. I tear along this line - tear me in two. I put the right away - into my bag. I hold onto the left, I m going to hold it all day. If they met, they d both know what really happened. Fall, falling, failing, failed. But fiction is forgiving. Putting things back together might not be. Start all over again...
Same Same is a poetic, layered and structurally innovative work. Stories collide with reality in an exquisitely fractured jigsaw. Time travels in curves as two women drift in and out of each another's lives until - Today. Today everything spins out of control and Nid and Asha must decide: stop or go, begin or end, now or never.
