An interactive performance based on mini-games that explore the themes of the epic of Gilgamesh. We create and play games that explore humanity, friendship, love, heroism, community, and mortality to investigate ways we can rebuild, redesign, and reclaim relationships within our city post-pandemic. 40 artists split into different groups stationed indoors and outdoors; in public spaces from parks to cafes and restaurants all around Clapham; will complete tasks and activities that build the interactive performance in collaboration with audiences in the theatre. Tasks and activities involve participation and spontaneous encounters with people in those public spaces willing to join. The audience in the theatre follow the artists playing games around Clapham with the public participants in real time through live stream, GPS and creative exploration of app technology. The audience in the theatre will direct, advise and suggest the actions of the artists to complete the set of tasks and activities. The performance reflects upon the idea of really building the city we live in, and developing new formats; playing with what live experiences could be.
