Liz Roberton - Lerner without Loewe archive

Liz met Alan Jay Lerner, who was to become her husband, when she played Eliza in Cameron Mackintosh's first revival of My Fair Lady. In the lead up to Alan Jay Lerner's centenary in 2018, this affectionate tribute to her late husband illustrates well that although the partnership between Lerner and Loewe is recognised as one of the great creative powerhouses Alan also wrote shows with many composers including ?On a Clear Day' and ?Carmelina' with Burton Lane, ?Coco' with Andre Previn, ?Love Life' with Kurt Weill, ?Dance A Little Closer' with Charles Strousse and ?1600 Pennsylvania Avenue' with Leonard Bernstein.
